Agot stars in the MMFF entry Family Matters, directed by Nuel Naval. In the movie, Ellen flies for the United States in a bid to find a romantic partner, leaving the three other siblings to take care of their parents. Agot plays the role of Kiko’s wife in the said film.
On Tuesday, December 27 when the Gabi ng Parangal, the awarding ceremony of Metro Manila Film Festival, was held. It took place at the New Frontier Theater in Araneta City.

But Agot was disappointed with the results of the MMFF 2022 Awards Night. Their movie only earned one award, the Gatpuno J. Villegas Cultural Award.
According to Agot, after the awards night, they went home “medyo disappointed ” because “hindi napansin man lang ang ibat ibang aspeto ng aming pelikula”. She added that what eases them are the messages of support, all the glowing reviews, posts that reveal the story, and reactions after leaving the cinema.
She’s hoping that the lessons learned from the movie will be taken to heart.
